Dining at this restaurant is either zero times or countless times. Once you experience it, it will make you linger and never want to leave! Really, really, really delicious, and the owner is also very, very nice, extremely friendly, and a very warm person.

Their fried chicken is to die for!! Solid 10/10 Fries 10/10 (just like Costco fries) Best Korean fried chicken in Montreal! (2025) Perfect crispy outside, super juicy chicken meat inside. Taste is also wonderful, light weight just so well proportionally balanced. A special Shoutouts to their attention to detail! Onions slices on top was super thin, and the touch of seasoning on top of the fried chicken elevates the flavor and gives a well finished touch. Chunky fried chicken and also delicately seasoned. Wow! ( I did not like the Creamy onion sauce though, it was too sweet, I personally just don’t like any sauce in general.) I would order without sauce next time.

Needed lunch when I arrived and Korean sounded delicious. While I personally prefer dolsot bibimbap this was perfectly delivered. Almost went back for dinner a few nights later. Staff was friendly and menu was bilingual (helpful not having to ask for one in English, if needed).

We ordered the seafood pajeon, seafood soondubu, and yangnyum chicken. The food was good overall. The soup was flavorful, and the chicken had a nice sweet and spicy umami flavor that my husband really liked, though the sauce was a bit on the heavy, sweeter side, so it’s something you can only enjoy a few pieces of. Service was polite, but we felt a little rushed. They served the food and checked in once, but it felt like they wanted to turn the table quickly. We hadn’t even been there for an hour. I’d recommend going when it’s not too busy so you can take your time and really enjoy the meal. I’d come back to try other dishes, maybe with a bigger group next time so we can share and sample more items.

We came to Itaewon Korean restaurant in Montreal based on Google reviews, and it did not disappoint. The space isn’t overly big, but the layout feels cozy and welcoming. When we arrived, it was about half full—just the right level of busy. My girlfriend and I ordered the bibimbap and spicy soft tofu soup, and we also shared the tteokkgangjeong (which I will not attempt to pronounce). Everything was absolutely delicious. The bibimbap was perfectly balanced with crisp vegetables and a rich flavour. The soft tofu soup was warm, spicy, and comforting. The tteokkgangjeong—fried rice cakes coated in a spicy and sweet sauce—were a real highlight, chewy and packed with flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and pleasant. Service was efficient without ever feeling rushed. We left full and already looking forward to our next visit. Itaewon really nails it for authentic, satisfying Korean cuisine in Montreal.
